In the comfort of your own home

We can meet via video chat. I can use Skype, Facetime, Telegram or we just call. Maybe you’d like to choose me as your therapist but you want to save yourself the journey
to my practice or you prefer to stay in a familiar environment at home or even your office. There are many advantages. I can also support you during business travel or, in
case of couple therapy, when partners are in different locations.

If you have small children, we can communicate once they are asleep. You won’t have to organise a babysitter.
Studies show that the quality of online coaching doesn’t suffer, although the experience is different to meeting in person. Just make sure you have good internet, microphone and camera, and make sure you are undisturbed.

You do not need a referral from a physician to begin psychotherapy or to obtain information. For an initial consultation, you have the option to make an appointment by email or by phone. I think it’s always better to a quick talk first, so I may answer some questions you might have.

Preparation

I can adapt to any platform you would like to use – please send me a simple link, avoiding login meeting codes. If you have to use your mobile, then I would appreciate it if you place it in a holder or on a table, so the image is not moving around.

In an initial consultation, you will have time to describe your situation, and you will receive all the necessary information about possible treatment options. The therapy takes place usually once a week, to fit into your weekly schedule.

During the consultancy

Of course we will both pay a lot of attention during the consultation, and you might like to take notes. I find however that it’s much better if you concentrate yourself completely on our conversation. I am sure all important points will remain clear in your memory.

Online therapy sessions are no different from any other therapy sessions and are only covered by a few statutory and private health insurance companies. In my experience many clients with private health insurance are covered, especially American private health supports my charges. 

Contact your health insurance company for the first time to find out about coverage.

Any step towards psychotherapy and coaching is worthwhile!

It is all the easier for the respective person to conduct these sessions in a familiar environment, or without the need to travel. You will get used to online sessions very quickly and will feel very comfortable.

I have a lot of experience counselling clients online and have had a lot of success with it, especially in cases where a couple is not in the same place but still wants counselling. Of course, non-verbal communication is somewhat neglected in online sessions, as the therapist is not sitting directly in front of their patient, but we have all adapted to this situation by now.
