Depression

When heavy negative feelings and thoughts stay with you over a long
period of time and you feel inferior and can’t cope with life, you might be showing signs of suffering from a depression. Lack of energy, a depressed state, difficulty in enjoying life and lack of interest interest are typical signs. To add to the difficulties, you experience a reduced concentration span, sleeping disorders as well as a variety of physical symptoms.

Everything from our brain’s metabolic state, genetic disposition through to psychosocial factors can cause an enduring depression. Events that push you to the limit or simply difficult phases in life act like triggers.

Under behavioural therapy you learn new strategies to cope. By observing dysfunctional and functional behaviour and identifying negative thinking
patterns you can succeed in taking a positive direction.
